So last night was the night of the long awaited prom.
Did it live up expectation? Was all the fuss we made necessary? Was it the best night of the year?
In my opinion, to answer all of these questions.. No.
The food; Well let's just say that a 'meal' from McDonalds, Burger King, KFC or any other fast food joint would've sufficed the title of 'dinner' in comparison to the 'kiddies meal' that we were presented with when we sat down at our tables to eat.
We paid £15 for this?! Daylight robbery at its best! |
A couple of cool kids from my table :) |
We're a crazy bunch ♥ |
The music; I think this was the biggest let down of the night. To be fair, when the music began playing it seemed promising but as time went on it was evident that the overall needs of our year had not been met. There was not a single One Direction song nor did they even play the typical Candy by Cameo(which, I might add we were all waiting for.. ALL NIGHT).
The atmosphere; Overall, everyone looked beautiful. The boys all very handsome in their suits/tuxedos and the girls.. well they looked absolutely stunning.
Lovely! |
Beautiful people! |
Rack City!
|
The most beautiful couple ever! |
The five coolest girls in our year! |
The winners of the coveted awards were as follows;
Boy Heartthrob - The charming Jarvis
Girl Heartthrob - The beautiful Lydia
Most Cheerful Girl - The lovely Fatma
Most Cheerful Boy - The hilarious Femi
Most Likely to Succeed - The grecian princess Tisha
Most Likely to be Famous - The amazing Tolani
Most Popular Girl - The crazy Jane
Most Popular Boy - The cutie Arnold
And our Prom King and Queen were.... The handsome Charlie & beautiful Jane!
Nonetheless it was a nice night and a lovely medium to see everyone again after a few weeks apart. It was also a great way to say goodbye to our Secondary School experience and hello to the bigger and better things that await us in the future.
I really do wish everyone from my school all the best in their future and whatever they aspire to be :)
OOTD
We couldn't get Ted Baker so we got our own made! |
It was perfect. The dress for me. The only problem was it was £400.
My mom tried to get me to keep my options open by looking at other dresses but that was the dress for me. So she met me halfway and agreed to allow me to get one that looked like it made.
And I did.
The copy wasn't 100% accurate but I wanted a dress in that style and I got one.
My friend Jordan wanted the dress in purple and she too got her own copy made as you can see above☺
